I want to lose 70-100 pounds…will this plan work?

Okay, first off, I know my plan isn’t exactly the ideal…I know enough to design myself a workout plan if my goals were simply to "get in shape", i.e., lose fat and increase muscle mass.

I want to lose 70 lbs or more so that I can offset my size. I’m 6′3", probably about 245, and I totally hate it. I don’t care if some guys would like to be taller/bigger or if some women like big guys….hearing that it’s a good thing only makes me feel worse. Hence, I’ve been trying to create the right diet/workout plan for my specific goals, which are to lose my chest and shoulders and lose as much size (not just fat) that I can.

I’ll be playing my nutrition by ear since I obviously cannot make it long-term if I’m dying of hunger. For the first, I’d like to attempt 1000 calories a day, balanced, erring somewhat on the side of more protein, less carbs (I know I can’t quit carbs entirely…most of mine will come from fruit or whole wheat).

As for workouts, I’m considering two 40-minute sessions of cardio a day (20 minutes on each machine - at least one session per day will be on treadmill.

Of course, if this gets too insurmountable, I will alter things, but I would like to try this once and for all to see if I really can lose enough size so I won’t always be seen as big.

    Realistically you are not going to lose that much weight and be healthy or attractive at 6F3I and 170 you will be WAY too skinny.

    1000 calories a day is starvation and your body will hold onto fat and start canablizing your organs.

    The problem isn’t your body it is your lack of self confidence.

    oh honey. you aren’t even remotely large! you’re totally average (weight)

    dont do too much. just exersize and eat healthier if you really want.
