What's the best way to get enough fiber everyday?

I’ve been trying to get enough fiber in my diet, so what foods have a good amount of fiber and aren’t too high in calories?

Eat oatmeal every morning! You can add a bit of honey or maple syrup to sweeten it. I also usually add some almonds or pecans for crunch. If you don’t like oatmeal, buy Kashi cereal. They have lots of types of cereal and they all are high in fiber.

You can also eat more veggies and fruits. That’ll make a huge difference.

Fruits, vegetables and grains. I suggest looking online for a food pyramid. Simply eat the recommended amounts that the food pyramid suggests and you’ll get a TON of fiber in your diet.

Meat, dairy and eggs should not be a prominent portion on your plate. Humans do not need that much protein. Only about 10-30% of all daily calories should come from protein. And, you can find protein in rice and legumes (which also contain a ton of fiber). There is enough protein in a 6 oz chicken breast to provide a healthy adult with enough protein for one day.

Whole wheat bread instead of white bread for breakfast toast and sandwiches for lunch or dinner.
