			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Bill is on a 600 calorie diet. I feel that is too low for a man and could cause him to yoyo and gain more on less food in the future as the body things you are starving and resets your set point therapy level.</p>
<p>He usually does not do so low in calories but I think a relative (call him Sam) he is living with is influencing him.</p>
<p>Sam had gotten my relative, Bill, to do the Adkins diet  which I feel is very dangerous even more so after reading the book eat to live by Dr Furhman who discussed Adkins and other diets. I think no Bill hadss stopped doing the Adkins after talking to him several times about the dangers.</p>
<p>Now sam has changed from Adkins to being on a 100 calorie diet for I think at least 3-4 weeks now. Bill just told me that Sam, since he is eating so little (100 calories),  all his appetite has left. Although the relative I am close to Bill and concerned about and who might listen to me (Sam is too headstrong to listen to anyone) is eating 600 not 100 calories, isn&#8217;t this still too low?</p>
<p>I thought a man should eat maybe somewhere between 1200-1600 if dieting. He is about 5 foot 9 and not sure how much he weighs.</p>
<p>Is this foolish or not, will it cause yoyo or reset his previous set point and what can I say to convince Bill  to diet in a more sensible manner.</p>
<p>It seems all my mom did when he was alive is tell Bill how fat he was (and I do not think he is THAT bad personally but then I am not obsessed with weight like some people.<br />
Bill  came to spread some dirt for me in my yard tonight and after 2 minutes said he was exhausted and he seemed a little woozy or weak. </p>
<p>I asked why are you so tired, He said my blood pressure and eating so little. this is what got me concerned when I found out he was weak and only eating 600 calories. I do not understand these other relatives&#8230;who nag and who do foolish things..I wish Bill would not listen to them so much. It seems he is always on a diet, yet with all his great will power why can&#8217;t I get him to eat healthier. It is like talking to a brick wall sometimes..</p>
<p>We are close enough that he will not think I am sticking my nose into his business.</p>

re- again Adkins&#8211;hundreds of studies link animal products with various cancers. this meat based, low fiber diet includes no fruit, starchy veggies and no whole grains,. Could double your chance of cancer etc Reseachers found risk of lung cancer 6 times more in women in the highest 5th of saturated fat consumption compared to women in the lowest 5th.,But not just the saturated fat but low in anti cancer foods and phytochemicals . more sat fats and less fruit+ higher cancer risk less saturated fat and more fruits =less cancer risk </p>

and LOTS of water throughout teh day.</p>
<p>How many calories would you guess-ta-mate this is?</p>
<p>Exercise- biked about a mile or two. a good deal was down hill though.<br />
walked constantly all day from 11-12 ish to 6 doing things like going to the beach or somebody&#8217;s house or just hanging out. </p>
<p>I know the eating isn&#8217;t the healthiest buuut really i&#8217;m 14 I don&#8217;t really care xD<br />

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>My 2 year old German Shepherd has recently been diagnosed with Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency.  We&#8217;ve started giving him enzymes to treat the problem, but are struggling a bit with dry food choices.  We had been transitioning him to a raw food diet, but now are worried about continuing, knowing that he has severe digestive issues and food limitations.</p>
<p>The vet recommended Hill&#8217;s Prescription Diet, but there is no way we&#8217;re feeding him anything with various forms of corn and by-products as the first 4 ingredients.  We have been looking at other foods and the best alternative seems to be Innova EVO Reduced Fat with 2.5% fiber and 15% fat.  However, the fat is still a bit higher than we&#8217;d like (ideal for EPI is 12% or lower).</p>
<p>Anyone have any experience with EPI?  What do you feed your dog?<br />
Thanks for all the great answers so far!  I know we had considered Wellness Core as an option, as well.  The Innova is slightly too high fiber for an EPI diet, as far as we could tell (but we&#8217;re not experts).  And, I&#8217;ll be honest, in all my searching, I had never heard of Orijen. <p>&quot;It is a diploma mill. Their HS is accredited by the Southern Association of Schools and Colleges. Their college programs are NOT! Their college programs are DETC accredited, whhich is worth exactly nothing in academia. If they were regionally accredited, they would be shouting it from the rooftops, rather than posting a very obscure reference to SASC.&quot;</p>
<p>Also, on Ashworth College website it says the tuition is 4 with  monthly payments.  Is is 4 for semester, course, or year?</p>
<p>Lastly, if anyone can recommended other online colleges for Nutrition I would greatly appreciate it! </p>

 - Of course this diet will be changed up once in a while but usually this is how it will be.<br />
 - I drink about 10-15 8oz. glasses of water each day.</p>

Monday, Wednesday, and Friday:<br />
A.M. Workout-<br />
1. Warm-up stretches (10 min.)<br />
2. Run (15 min.)<br />
3. Pre-exercises (10 min.)- these are usually push-ups, curl-ups, etc.<br />

I just wanna know what a good low calorie, high fiber diet would be for a horse that is trying to lose weight? I already have the amount I just need to know what kind of feed you recommend. Right now, I have my horses in our 40 acre pasture all day and they come in once a day to eat 2 cups of sweet feed. I know it isn&#8217;t the best feed because of all the molasses and other stuff, that is why I wanna switch. Please don&#8217;t be mean to me. Thanks.</p>
